Use this page to change the connection type and the file transfer protocol used for the current session. This changes the settings you chose when using the New Session wizard to create a session. You cannot change the display/device type of your session.
IMPORTANT:When choosing a different connection type, it is best to first log off from your host applications and disconnect from your session using the Session Disconnect command.

Connection Type |
Lists the connection types available to the current session. |
Display/Device Type |
Displays the display/device type of the current session. The display/device type can be either display or printer. |
File Transfer Protocol |
Lists the file transfer protocols available to the current session. |
Settings Button |
Opens the Options Settings page(s) pertaining to the item you have currently selected. You can then edit that item's settings. |
To verify your Host type
From the Options menu, choose Session Type.
The Host Type display lists the type of host to which your current session is connected.
To edit your connection type
From the Options menu, choose Session Type.
From the Connection Type list, select the new connection type and then choose OK.

To edit your connection option settings
From the Options menu, choose Session Type.
From the Connection Type list, select a connection.
Choose the Settings button.
The Settings - Connection page appears.
To edit your display option settings
From the Options menu, choose Session Type.
From the Display/Device type list, select a display/device type.
Choose the Settings button.
The Settings - Display page appears.
To edit your file transfer protocol
From the Options menu, choose Session Type.
From the File Transfer Protocol list, select the new protocol and choose OK.
To edit your file transfer option settings
From the Options menu, choose Session Type.
From the File Transfer Protocol list, select a protocol.
Choose the Settings button.
The Settings - File Transfer page appears.
