The 3270 Settings - Edit Advanced Page

Using the 3270 Edit Settings - Advanced page, you can specify advanced settings that you prefer for cutting, copying, and pasting text to and from sessions.

Scheme

Select the scheme you want to edit, or delete.

Save As

Saves the current edit Settings under another name as a new scheme.

Delete

Removes the current scheme from the scheme list.

Format Options

Select cut, copy and paste options. Choices include proprietary, spreadsheet, unformatted text, bitmap, and BIFF formats.

Extra! 3270 (proprietary format)

This clipboard format allows 3270 information such as APL characters and field attributes to be cut, copied, and pasted.

Cell Delimited (spreadsheets)

This clipboard format allows spreadsheet or other cell-based information to be cut, copied, and pasted.

Separate at Field/Separate at Word

Separate at Field separates information cut or copied to the clipboard according to 3270 fields. Separate at Word separates information cut or copied to the clipboard according to word boundaries.

Text (unformatted text)

This clipboard format allows plain text, which is the most common format used in Windows programs, to be cut, copied, and pasted.

DIB (Device Independent Bitmap)

This clipboard format allows you to cut or copy device independent bitmap images (DIBs) to the clipboard.

BIFF (Binary Interchange File Format)

This clipboard format allows you to cut or copy binary interchange file formats (BIFFs) to the clipboard.

When selected, numeric characters that are copied from the host can be pasted to spreadsheets as numbers (they can be used for calculations and are right-aligned).

When cleared, numeric characters that are copied from the host can be pasted to spreadsheets as text (they will not be used for calculations and are left-aligned).
