You use the File Transfer Settings pages to create, edit, or delete a file transfer scheme. Each scheme can include specific information for each file transfer type - CMS, TSO, and CICS. When you send and receive files, you can use the same transfer scheme, regardless of the file transfer type.
NOTE:For IND$FILE file transfers you can choose to save a scheme to a Local directory or a Remote destination.

General: Sets the basic parameters for a file transfer scheme. The parameters include the file format, host options if a file exists when a PC file is sent to the host, PC options if a file exists when a file is received from the host, structured field size and transfer path information.
CMS: Sets options for a file transfer scheme specific to CMS file transfer. The options include record format, record length, and CMS send and receive parameters.
TSO: Sets options for a file transfer scheme specific to TSO file transfer. The options include record format, record length, space allocation, and TSO send and receive parameters.
CICS: Sets options for a file transfer scheme specific to CICS file transfer. The options include host file, CICS comments, and CICS send and receive parameters.
Advanced: Sets the advanced parameters for a file transfer scheme. The parameters include host program options such as transfer program name, timeout, and lead key.
