Use this page to view details of an output file from a job and to change control information for the file.
Release Click this to release a held file, so that its status can be changed. This button changes to a
Hold button when you click it.
Hold Click this to hold the file, so that its status cannot be changed. This button changes to a
Release button when you click it.
Apply Click this to save any changes made.
Delete Click this to delete the job.
General
- Name
- The name of the job as specified on the JOB card.
- Status
- Displays the current status of the job. The possible values are:
- Active
- The job is currently being executed.
- Complete
- The file has been printed.
- Input Hold
- The job is currently held in the input queue: it will not be executed until you release it.
- Input Ready
- The job is currently in the input queue.
- Other
- The status is unknown.
- Output Held
- The output from the job is held awaiting release.
- Output Ready
- The output from the job is available to be scheduled.
- Parsing
- MSS is currently parsing the JCL.
- SYSOUT Disp
- The output data set is scheduled to an output device but not yet actioned (transient state).
- SYSOUT Print
- The output file is currently being printed.
- SYSOUT Hold
- The output data set is held awaiting release.
- SYSOUT Ready
- The output data set is available to be scheduled to an output device.
- User
- The user ID under which the job was run. If you did not specify a USER on the JOB card, the user ID is the name of the enterprise
server.
- COND
- Used to test return codes from previous job steps to determine whether to bypass this job step.
- File
- The full path of the file containing the JCL that was run.
- PAC Member
- When part of a PAC, this specifies the UUID of the PAC member that processed the job.
- Class
- The class of the job, as specified on the JOB card. If you want to change the class of the file, specify the new class and
click
Apply.
- Priority
- The priority of the file, as specified on the JOB card. If you want to change the priority of the file, specify the new priority
and click
Apply.
- Step
- Displays the name of the job step that produced this file.
- Proc Step
- Displays the number of the procedure step, where an output data set was created by a step in a procedure.
- Restart
- Click this to request that the job is restarted.
- Advanced Restart Parameters
- Accepts the advanced restart parameter format without the job number. See the
Job Restart chapter in your product Help for more information.
Messages
Lists the messages for this job.
DD Entries
This table displays the following information:
- Status
- Displays the current status of the job. The possible values are listed above.
- Class
- The class of the job, as specified on the JOB card.
- DD Name
- The name of the data set produced by the job step; the first entry is always for the system log,
sys.log.
- Step
- Displays the name of the job step that produced this file.
- Step Number
- Displays the number of the job step that produced this file.
- Proc Step
- Displays the number of the procedure step, where an output data set was created by a step in a procedure.
- Records
- Displays the number of records in the output file.
- Actions
- Enables you to perform one of the following actions:
- View Click to view the content of the DD entry. The maximum number of lines returned will never exceed 99999.
- Edit
- Delete
