The LOCKDB feature replaces the functionality of the Enterprise Server Cluster Global Lock Manager (GLM). See Enterprise Server LOCKDB for more information.
An Enterprise Server Cluster is a cluster of interconnected Enterprise Server regions, orchestrated by a specific instance of an Enterprise Server region called the Global Lock Manager (GLM).
An Enterprise Server Cluster allows the scaling-out of work units, so that an increased number of operating system images can share the workload. Built over the ISC communications layer, an Enterprise Server Cluster allows catalog data set sharing and ensures the integrity and consistency of data throughout the entire cluster.
