To install ViewNow X Server from a server, you must map the folder where the distribution files exist to a network drive. You can then run the Setup Wizard by using the
Run command.
To place the files on a network server, do one of the following:
- Copy the ViewNow X Server distribution to the server.
- Run the
Msiexec /a command.
Note: If you install this product from a server, the system must be able to automatically reestablish the connection after a system restart. To ensure that the connection is reestablished:
- If you are installing from a mapped network drive, select the
Reconnect At Logon option when you first map the drive.
- If you are installing from a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) connection, after the system restart you must log on to the system using the same user name used to perform the installation.
