SQLWizard Import allows you to insert data from various file formats into new or existing XDB Server tables or views. You can view the source file to be imported, set options for recording import process errors, have the system calculate a new table definition from your source file, and set up and run Batch Import commands.
Batch import is particularly useful if you repeatedly import data with the same or similar table definition. Each time you open an Import window and provide import specifications and then save the specifications to a file, you create a Batch Import file. Before using Batch Import, you should be familiar with interactive import for the file type you are importing.
The following is a list of file formats supported by SQLWizard. Depending on the format you select, you may need to specify a number of options before activating the import.
Imports data from delimited (free-format) ASCII files into XDB Server tables.
Imports data from columnar (fixed-format) ASCII files into XDB Server tables.
DSNTIAUL
Imports data downloaded from IBM's DB2 using IBM's DSNTIAUL facilities.
