Working with Users, Groups and Resources

Note: Typically, you can maintain user, group and resource information for the MFDS Internal Security manager only. If you use an external security manager, you would normally use the updating functionality associated with the particular LDAP that you are using to maintain this information. Check the documentation provided with your ESM module for details.

The property screens for the MFDS Internal Security manager can be used for adding, editing and deleting user, group and resource definitions held in this manager, and for specifying resource permissions.

In addition to the conditions listed above, the MFDS Internal Security manager definition must be used by MF Directory Server.

In order to use these property screens, your user account must have User Administration permissions. See Resource Classes for MF Directory Server for details.
