To group map fields

  1. In Solution Explorer, right-click a map file (.bms or .mfs).
  2. From the context menu, click Edit Annotations for Services; then click the name of the map you want to edit.
  3. Select the consecutive fields you want to group. Hold the Shift or Cntl key and click to select more than one.
  4. Right-click any selected field and click Group on the context menu.
  5. In the Number of fields in the group field, type the number of fields you want to include in each occurrence of the resulting array. This number must be less than the total number of fields you are grouping, and you must be able to divide the number of fields you have selected evenly by this number. For example, if your screen has five rows of data and each row contains seven fields, to group each row, specify 7 as the number of fields to appear in the new group.
  6. In the Group name prefix field, type any prefix to identify the group.
