If the status of the enterprise server instance is "Started", you can also change the number of licenses by clicking Details in the Current status column, then on the Enterprise Server > Control page, specifying the new number in Requested licenses and clicking Update. The Directory Server allocates additional licenses requested immediately, up to the number available. It removes any unwanted licenses immediately. However, any change you make here is temporary only; after you stop the server, the number of processes reverts to the number set on the Server > Properties > General page.
