To create an MSS-enabled enterprise server for IMS applications from
Enterprise Server
Start
Enterprise Server Administration using one of the following methods:
From the Visual Studio Server Explorer: Right-click
Micro Focus Servers and choose
Administration from the context menu. This starts
Enterprise Server Administration in a Visual Studio window.
From the
Start menu: Click
Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Enterprise Developer > Configuration > Enterprise Server Administration. This starts
Enterprise Server Administration in a browser outside of the IDE.
From your Web browser, enter
http://localhost:86 into the
Address field.
Click
Add.
In the
Server Name field, type a name for the new enterprise server instance.
Choose a
Working mode option; then click
Next.
In the
Server Type group, click
Micro Focus Enterprise Server with Mainframe Subsystem Support; then click
Next.
In the
Creation Options group, ensure that
Set TN3270 listener is checked; then enter a port number into the
Using port field. This is the port number used when you connect to the enterprise server with your TN3270 emulator.
In the
Description field, type a description of the new enterprise server
Click
Add.
This displays the
Enterprise Server Administration
Home page with your new server on the list of available enterprise servers.
Configure the new enterprise server instance for IMS.
