To create a CICS COMMAREA-based operation
- In the
Interface Mapper, right-click
Operation, and click
New.
- Define the new operation by specifying:
- A name for the new operation
- A program
- An input data area, which you select from the list of COMMAREAs available in the program
- An output data area, which you select from the list of COMMAREAs available in the program
- Any user exits that you require
- If you want to automatically create interface fields with default mappings for all of the fields in the input and output data areas, check
Create Default Mapping.
