To define or change file details
- Do one of the following:
- If the File Details dialog box has opened automatically from the Data File Converter, continue to step
2.
- From the Data File Converter, select a line sequential, fixed-length sequential, or fixed-length relative data input file; then click
File Details.
- From the
File organization drop-down list, select the file organization of the data input file.
- Do one of the following:
- For fixed-length file organizations, type the record length into the
Maximum length field.
- For variable-length file organizations, type the minimum record length into the
Minimum length field, and the maximum record length into the
Maximum length field.
- Click
OK. This returns you to the
Data File Convert dialog box to continue with the conversion.
