To start the Segment Layout Editor from your
Enterprise Developer project:
- In
Enterprise Developer, open the project that contains your COBOL program.
- Right-click the COBOL program that contains the Data Division on which you want to base your new segment layout file; then select
Create Segment Layout File from the context menu.
- Select an IMS database from the list; then click
Create.
To start the Segment Layout Editor from the Data File Tools IDE:
Note: To do this, you must start the Data File Tools IDE from within the
Enterprise Developer IDE.
- In Data File Tools, click
File > New > Segment Layout; then click
OK.
- Select an IMS database from the list; then click
Create.
- Navigate to and select the
.idy file generated for the COBOL program that contains the Data Division on which you want to base the segment layouts; then click
OK.
