ACU

Enables compatibility with ACUCOBOL-GT COBOL.

ACU sets ACU-SYNC, ACU-COMMENT, ACU-UNDERSCORE, LOCAL-SOURCEFORMAT, MFSYNC"8", ALIGN"8 OPT", COMP-5"1", COMP-6"3", DISPLAY"CRT", IDENTIFIERLEN"62", NOMFCOMMENT, NORESEQ, SIGN"ACU", TRUNC"ACU"

ACU is set by ACUOPT and DIALECT"ACU".

Comments:

Setting ACU enables some ACU extensions to the language and implements changes of behavior for compatibility with ACUCOBOL-GT COBOL. Refer to ACUCOBOL-GT Syntax Extensions for more information.

ACU also sets acu_library, which in turn enables a library routine (C$RERR) designed to help you obtain extended error information for file operations, and external variables containing other error information.
