Communications software requirements

The communications software that you use depends on your platform. Available platforms and the corresponding communications server software to use with each is as follows:

• AIX

  IBM Communications Server for AIX 6.4.0.2

• HP-UX

  HP-UX SNAplus2 Link R7.11

• Microsoft Windows

  Microsoft BizTalk Host Integration Server 2009

  Note:

  • If you are installing this on a 64-bit machine, the installation process installs only the 64-bit libraries.
  • You need a 64-bit enterprise server in order to use a SYS62 connection with Microsoft BizTalk Host Integration Server.
• Red Hat/SUSE Linux

  IBM Communications Server for Linux 6.4.0.2

• Red Hat/SUSE Linux on zSeries

  IBM Communications Server for Linux on zSeries 6.4.0.2

• Solaris

  Metaswitch SNAP-IX 7.02.008

• z/OS

  CICS Communications with mainframe CICS regions using SYS62 connections have been tested with z/OS version 1.13.
