Included in Host Compatibility Option are tools to:
- Create databases with EBCDIC collating sequences
- Process SQL DDL statements so that DB2 table definitions stored on the mainframe can be downloaded to the PC and used to create tables without having to be modified
- Generate copybooks for tables (DCLGEN)
- Export data in a variety of formats
- Import data in a variety of formats
- Bind or rebind packages
These tools are available from the
HCO for DB2 LUW user interface, and the

Note: You can use IBM's DB2 Control Center and/or the DB2 Setup tool to perform other HCO functions such as cataloging databases and servers, executing SQL, and generating aliases.
