You use theSQL Wizard to add new AuthIDs and GroupIDs to the system, and modify existing information, including passwords The information is stored in the system catalog, as described below. The
SQL Wizard can also be used to make an AuthID a member of a group, so that the AuthID has the privileges of the group.
Note: It is possible to temporarily deny an AuthID access to the system by turning off access authority through the
SQL Wizard (or by editing the appropriate row of the SYSXDB.SYSACFUSERS table). This method keeps all privileges and memberships intact. See the chapter
