Configuration Files

There are a number of files used to store the configuration items you specify for your XDB Server operating environment. The stored configuration data are used as needed by the various XDB Server programs and utilities you run. These files generally reside in the Directory.

Other configuration files, such as config.sys, autoexec.bat or *.ini sometimes contain XDB information as well. See the appropriate installation guide for specific information.

File Name Description
srvconfg.xdb XDB Server environment configuration file. The environment variable XSRVCFG points to the location of this file.
product.ver Contains version number for installed version of product. To see all .ver files found in the current directory, enter the command XDBVER on an operating system command line.
sort-sequence.seq Pre-defined user sort sequence files that can be used in place of our standard ASCII or EBCDIC sort sequences.
