When you access a mainframe using SourceConnect, you are prompted for a user-id and password when needed. To avoid this prompt, SourceConnect can make use of MFDaemon to store the user-id and password. This information is stored in memory, and you can configure it to write to an INI file. This information is then available from the daemon whenever needed. When the PC is re-booted or the MFDAEMON CLOSE command is executed, MFDaemon reads the information from the INI file. Security must be turned on at all times.
