Groups Dialog Box

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Items appearing on the Groups dialog box are described in this topic.

Add Creates a new GroupID. If AuthIDs appear in the MEMBER OF list, they are assigned to the group when the group is added.
Delete Removes a group and dissociates all assigned AuthIDs from the GroupID.
Update Changes a GroupID's information, including comments and/or memberships.
Close Closes the Groups dialog box.
Group Name Identifies the group. This field is up to eight characters long and must follow the rules for a short identifier.
Comment Allows for the storage of additional information about the group or its purpose. The comment can be up to 254 characters in length.
Group Membership Indicates which users belong to the displayed group. AuthIDs in the USER ID list on the left are not members of the group. AuthIDs in the MEMBER OF list on the right are members of the group.
