Setting Export Defaults

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

The Default Settings dialog box allows you to specify your preferred settings for exporting to Free ASCII, Fixed ASCII, and DSNTIAUL formats. In addition, you can specify which view of the Export window you would rather use: Design Mode or SQL Mode. Choosing your own defaults means that each time you open a new Export window, your preferred settings will be in effect automatically. You can revert to XDB Server's suggested default values at any time by clicking the Defaults button.

Instructions for how to set export defaults are provided below.

To set default format parameters for Export:

  1. Click the Defaults command from the Export menu.

SQLWizard displays the Default Settings dialog box.

  2. Type your own defaults to use for each format.
  3. Click OK to save your defaults. These defaults will be used each time you open a new Export window.
