Setting Export Options

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Options you select on the Export Options dialog box remain in effect for the duration of the current session or until you change them. In this case, a session is defined as an open occurrence of an Export window. You can have multiple Export windows open at the same time, and each Export window can be using a different set of values for the options.

Instructions for how to set export options are provided below.

To set export options:

  1. Click the Options command from the Export menu.

SQLWizard displays the Export Options dialog box.

  2. Click to choose an On Error option to control error handling.
  3. To convert data from one code page to another, select an entry from the ASCII Conversion box. Leave the field set to (None) if no conversion is required.
  4. If you want to log errors that may be encountered during an export process, click the On checkbox in the Error Logging section and type a fully qualified file name. To choose an existing file for logging errors, click the Browse button to display the File Open dialog box.
  5. Click OK to save your preferences.
