Export Menu

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

The Export menu appears in the SQLWizard title bar when you access the Export utility. The following functions are available from the Export menu when exporting an XDB Server table into a target file:

Run Starts exporting the desired XDB Server table into a target file. Click the Run button from the toolbar, or click the Run command from the Export menu. When the process is completed, the system shows the number of records exported in the status bar at the bottom of the window.
End Current Allows you to end an export process while it is running. Data that was already exported up to that point will appear in the destination file. If you select this command while running a Batch Export file that has multiple transactions, the transaction currently running is aborted and the next transaction is started.
End All Aborts all batch processing when you have more than one transaction in a Batch Export file.
Clear Form Clears all of the current export specifications from the Export window. Values are set to their user-defined defaults as specified from the Defaults dialog box.
Options Displays the Export Options dialog box where you can specify error handling preferences.
Defaults Displays the Export Default Settings dialog box where you can set preferences for various options. These preferences take effect whenever you open a new Export window. You can set default format parameters for each export file type (Free- and fixed-format ASCII and DSNTIAUL) and specify which view of the Export window you prefer (Design mode or SQL mode).
