Running a Batch Import File

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Saved Batch Import files have a file name extension of *.imp and are typically saved in the current application path. You can specify a different path for your batch file when you save it.

To run a Batch Import session:

  1. From the File menu, click the Run Batch command.
  2. Choose the desired Batch Import file.
  3. Click OK. If you choose an old-format batch file, import will prompt you to convert the file so that SQLWizard can run it.
    Note:

If you are running under Windows, you can start a batch session by double clicking the .imp file name in the File Manager.

Commands initiated from the .imp file begin to run in batch mode. If any bad data is found, error messages will be displayed depending on the way you set up your import options. (To set import options, use the Options command from the Import menu.)

Import processing messages are displayed across the bottom of the SQLWizard window in the status bar.
