Rearranging Result Columns

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

When you are in the Result Table view, you can rearrange the columns on your Result window by dragging them to a new position. Changes you make to the result by rearranging the columns only affects the current Result window. The next time you run the query, the columns will be in the order designated by the query. You can change the order of columns in the SELECT clause of the query if you want them to always appear in a specific order. Regardless of the order in which columns are shown in a result, the order of columns stored in the database is not changed.

To move columns in a Result Table view:

  1. Click the name of a column and hold down the left mouse button.

SQLWizard displays a phantom outline the size of the column title.

  2. Keeping the mouse button pressed, drag the outline right or left to a position between two other columns. Release the mouse button to drop the column in the new position.

SQLWizard rearranges the columns to move the dragged column between the other two columns.
