Running a Query

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Running a query causes the SQL command to be sent to the XDB Server where the desired columns and rows are retrieved and sent back to SQLWizard to display in a Result window. Before you can run a query, you must have specified at least one table and one column.

To run an open query from a Query Design window:

  1. Click the Query Design window to make it the current window.
  2. From the Query menu, click the Run command

Click the Run button on the toolbar or, from the Catalog Browser dialog box, click the Query tab, a query, and the Batch button.
