Opening Queries with the Catalog Browser

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

You can use the Catalog Browser to open a previously saved query. Once open, you can run the query. If desired, you can change the query before running it. Optionally, you can use the Catalog Browser to run a query in Batch mode (without first opening and displaying it).

To examine and open queries from the Catalog Browser:

  1. With the Catalog Browser dialog box displayed, click the Query tab.

The Catalog Browser lists the locations, the AuthIDs, and the queries available to you from your current server. If you do not see these three levels of organization, click the + buttons preceding locations and AuthIDs to expand the detail beneath them.

  2. Click a query name to highlight it.
  3. Click the Open button or drag the query's name to the SQLWizard desktop.

SQLWizard displays the query for you to view, edit, or run.
