Expanding and Collapsing the Hierarchy

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

The Expand and Collapse buttons appear to the left of the object icons to indicate if an item's subordinate objects are hidden or displayed.

Expand The Expand button indicates that the item may have sub-items beneath it that are not currently visible. Click the button to open the item and display the sub-items. When you expand the levels, you may need to drag the border of the Catalog Browser dialog box to make it wide enough to read all of the information as shown below.
Collapse The Collapse button indicates that the item has been expanded, and that the sub-items are currently visible in the hierarchy. Click this button to collapse the hierarchy and hide the sub-items.
Note:

If an Expand button disappears when you click it and there is no replacement Collapse button, then there are no objects in that list.
