The object icons are displayed next to the name of each object in the Catalog Browser dialog box to help you visually interpret the levels of the hierarchy. Some appear when any tab (Location, Table or Query) is selected and some appear only under one tab. You can configure which levels appear in the hierarchy using the Browser tab of the Options utility.
