To enable connection to a new remote XDB Server

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.
  1. From the main menu, click Run > Tools > Data Tools > SQL Option for DB2 > Configuration > Client Options.
  2. Click the Connect tab.
  3. In the Network Info group, type the server name in the Server Name field.
  4. Select the communications protocol you want to use to connect to the XDB Server from the list.
  5. In the Connect To group, type a default location for the new server.
  6. Type the AuthID you want to user to connect to the new server.
  7. Click OK.
Note: Some communications protocols require additional information to be specified in the xdb.ini file. Contact your system administrator if you experience difficulty in connecting to a new server.
