To run interactively

To generate a declaration file in interactive mode (through a dialog box), start the Declaration Generator as described below. To specify the procedure from the command line, see Running From the Command Line.

To use the Declaration Generator utility:

1. From the main menu, click Run > Tools > Data Tools > SQL Option for DB2 > Client > Declaration Generator.
2. Provide your AUTHID and desired LOCATION if the Connect dialog box is displayed.

   You must have SELECT privileges on the table for which you are generating a declaration and on the following system tables:

   • SysIBM.SYSLOCATIONS
   • SysIBM.SYSTABLES
   • SysXDB.SYSACFUsers
3. In the Declaration Generator dialog box, select the language in which you want the declaration file written, and complete the remainder of the dialog box, then click GENERATE.
