Bind Utility Window

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

The following fields and controls are used in the Bind Utility window:

Remote Location
The drop-down list contains all the registered remote locations on the XDB Link. You cannot bind, rebind or drop a package until you select a location from this list.

Use the Gateway Profile Utility to register remote locations.

Current SQLID
Specifies the AuthID under which the bind will be executed. By default, your AuthID appears here.
Note: Do not change this field if you are creating the default package for XDB Link. The AuthID used to log on with the Bind Utility must match the primary AuthID on DB2, and must have the authority (in DB2) to run the initial bind.
Continue on Error
Enables the Bind Utility to continue processing when an error occurs.
Bind
To create a default package for XDB Link, or to modify an existing package, click the Bind button.
Rebind
To change options for an existing package without reading the DBRM, click the Rebind button.
Drop
To delete a package from the DB2 location, click the Drop button.
Default
To create a default DBRM, which you will need in order to create the default package for XDB Link, click Default.
