To start the Host Option for TCP/IP, issue the following command from the MVS system console:
S Catalogued Procedure name for Host Option for TCP/IP
or
S XDBLink
The following message is displayed on the system console:
@08 Enter XDBLINK Command
Next issue the following command to verify the status of the started task and verify the port number:
R nn,DISPLAY STATUS
where nn is the reply number message related to the Host Option for TCP/IP.
