Enabling Security on the Client Workstation

To use XDB Link with DB2, you must enable the Client Security option on your workstation using Options. This option instructs the XDB runtime software to prompt you for a user ID (AuthID) and password when it connects to an location (including the location that represents DB2).

To enable security on a client workstation using Options

1. At the client workstation, start Options by selecting its icon from the program group or folder.
2. When the Options window opens, select the Security page and enable the Client Security option.
3. Click OK to save your settings and close Options.
