To specify line numbering options

You can configure the IDE options for line numbering as follows:

1. In Enterprise Developer, click Windows > Preference.
2. Expand Micro Focus > COBOL > Editor, and click Line Numbering.
3. Check one or both options for the style in which you want your source numbered:
   • COBOL (left-hand margin) - numbers run down the left-hand side of the source.
   • Standard (right-hand margin) - numbers run down the right-hand side of the source.
4. You can specify the number of lines incremented between new lines; this can be set as an integer between 1 through 1000, the default is 100.
   • Line number increment (1 - 1000) - type the number to be incremented between new lines.
5. Click Apply, then click OK.
