Installing Micro Focus Modelling Support for Eclipse

Application Workflow Manager (AWM) is an integral feature of Micro Focus Enterprise Developer and Visual COBOL. It enables you to model and seamlessly integrate application development tools into the Eclipse views that developers work with. AWM provides the means to integrate a customer-specific application workflow in the developer's view without any programming requirement.

The modelling support offered by AWM is available as a standalone feature that can be installed into any other Eclipse IDE, for example, into IBM Developer for z Systems.

To install Modelling Support for Eclipse as a plug-in to an Eclipse IDE:

  1. Run the modsupp_30.exe file and follow the wizard instructions to complete the installation.
Note: The supported versions of Eclipse are 4.4.1, 4.4.2, 4.5, and 4.6. As a prerequisite, Enterprise Developer must not be installed.
  2. Start Eclipse, and then click Help > Install New Software.

This opens the Install dialog box.

  3. Click Add.

This opens the Add Repository dialog box.

  4. In the Name field, type Modelling Support for Eclipse.
