You can maintain the control file under your local file system as described above. Alternatively, you can maintain the control file on the mainframe. For this, a MVS PDS with record format VB and record length 1024 must be allocated on the mainframe. Then the local control file can be copied by copy and paste or drag and drop from the local file system (e.g. from the Project Explorer View) into this MVS PDS.
We recommend that you use the XML editor available in Eclipse when editing a control file from MVS Explorer.
