If the
Remote Systems window is not displayed, click
Window > Show View > Remote Systems.
You cannot drag and drop VSAM files from your local project to the mainframe; however, you can achieve this by setting up a job stream with JCL and data, and submitting it to the JES spool.
In the
Remote Systems window, log on to the mainframe.
Drag and drop the item to the appropriate catalog search filter in Mainframe Explorer, from one of the following locations:
The
Local section of the
Remote Systems window.
A COBOL project in the
Navigator window.
A COBOL project in the
Project Explorer window.
A COBOL project in the
COBOL Explorer window.
A local catalog in the
Server Explorer window.
Note: You can only drag PDS members from a local catalog to the mainframe.
