To run customized data comparisons

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

From the HCOSS Compare Data tool, either create a new compare data task or open an available compare data task.
Click the Customize Compare Data tab.
On the Source Schemas and Tables tree view, expand the tree and check a table you want to customize. This populates the Customized Query Pair window with the query associated with the checked table.
Do one or more of the following:
- Edit the query code in the Customized Query Pair window; then click Compare. Results are shown on the Results tab.
- Build a WHERE or an ORDER BY clause into the SELECT statement:
  1. Use the fields and controls in the WHERE/ORDER BY in SELECT group to construct the clause. When you click > or <, HCOSS updates the code in the Customized Query Pair window.
  2. Click Compare. Results are shown on the Results tab.
  3. On the Customize Compare Data tab, click Save All to save the changes.
Note: HCOSS does not save manual changes made to code in the Customized Query Pair window.
