System Tables

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Inbound mapping requires you to update the SYSIBM.SYSLUNAMES and SYSIBM.SYSUSERNAMES tables with information for mapping users on the remote XDB Server that will be performing inbound mapping. This can be done through SQL commands in the SQL Wizard (Windows) or Interactive SQL (UNIX).

Note: When updating system tables, do not change or delete any records that appear blank. These records contain a space character in certain columns and are required to define the locations controlled by your local machine.

You must insert values into columns labeled "required" in order to use inbound mapping. All other columns can have NULL values. Other columns in SYSIBM.SYSLUNAMES are used for trusting. See the section Trusting for more information on these values.
