Most commercially available archival utilities can be used to backup locations. When using a backup utility, it is important to keep in mind that you must backup the contents of all directories for the entire location, including stogroup paths (if any) and including all subdirectories. This last point is important since the server may have duplicate file names in different directories, which need to be kept separate on the backup device.
