To Kill a Task that is Running

To stop, or kill a task that is running in a region, use the following procedure:
  1. In the Tree pane, under Regions , select the region.
  2. In the Actions pane, select Monitor.

    The Monitor Region area opens in the Results pane.

  3. In the Monitor Hosts list, select the machine running the task to kill, or select All to display all the tasks running across the region.

    This is relevant in a cluster environment, where a region can operate over multiple machines.

    The tasks display changes to reflect your selection.

  4. Right-click the task to kill. The Kill menu displays.

  5. Click Kill to stop the task

    The task stops and no longer appears on the display after a refresh.
