To Start a Region

Use this procedure to start a region from the Enterprise Server for .NET user interface.
  1. In the Tree pane, under Regions, select the region to start.
  2. In the Action pane, select Start/Stop Region.

    The Start/Stop Server field appears in the Results pane, and the Start button appears at the bottom of the user interface.

  3. Do one of the following:
    • To start the region on the local machine, leave the Start/Stop Server field blank.
    • To start the region on a remote machine, in the Start/Stop Server field, enter the name of the machine on which the region is to start, or select the machine name from the pull-down list.
  4. Select whether to Cold start or Warm start the region, and click Start.

    Messages display in the Results pane that indicate the region startup progress. Error messages display if the region fails to start.
