Troubleshooting Impersonation Issues

To identify the causes of impersonation issues:

• Look for SEP console log messages regarding impersonation and user identity. These messages can indicate the cause of the problem.

  For example:

  EP0060E: Unable to retrieve identity for user ID {0}. Request for transaction {1} on session {2} terminated.

  where: {0} = user ID; {1} = transaction name; {2} = session ID

• Use the Windows Event Log console to check the Micro Focus Server event log. The event monitor raises events in that event log for various impersonation failures. For example:

  EM0020E Protocol-transition token creation requires a Windows 2003 or later domain. SEE Monitor configuration specifies impersonation using protocol-transition mode with local user authentication, which will not work.
