Event Monitor

Windows service process (seemonitor.exe) installed on machines required to run dispatcher and/or SEP services. An event monitor is responsible for providing administration and management functionality for the SEP and dispatcher services that run on the same machine as the monitor. Event monitors on different machines communicate with each other to perform certain tasks, such as region shutdown or internal transaction request (ITR) invocation. These require coordination with all SEPs in the enterprise that are running, or have run, tasks for a given CICS region.
