Prerequisites

The following are Windows Azure support prerequisites:

• Azure Platform account. You can start with a free trial at http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/pricing/free-trial/ for details on setting up an Azure Platform account.
• SQL Azure server. See Getting Started with SQL Azure Database using the Windows Azure Management Portal at http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/manage/services/sql-databases/getting-started-w-sql-databases/ for details on setting up and accessing SQL Azure databases.
• Azure storage account. See https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/storage-create-storage-account/ for details on how to set up an Azure storage account.
• Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio v2.9.5. Download this SDK from http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/downloads/archive-net-downloads/. The SDK is required on any system that deploys Enterprise Server for .NET roles to Azure.
