Azure Deployment : Region Definition View

Description

This view is used to define the system information required in Azure.

By default, two regions are defined when creating a new deployment. ESDEMO is a CICS demonstration region, and JCLDEMO is a JCL batch demonstration region. If you don't need to use the demonstration regions, feel free to delete them.

Click Add Region to add a region, or to delete a region click the Delete icon to the left of the row.

For each region in the system, the following needs to be defined:
Region Name
The name of the region. This is the same name as defined in the region startup file associated with the region.
Database Instance ( advanced mode only)
The name of the database associated with the region. By default, the $(DBInstance) parameter will be expanded automatically to the value defined in the Global Configuration views during packaging and deployment .
