To Define Entry Point Name Mappings

This procedure demonstrates how to define Entry Point Name Mappings using the Enterprise Server for .NET Administration UI:
  1. Open the startup file of the CICS or JES region you are configuring with the Region Startup File Editor editor. See To Edit a CICS Region Configuration and To Edit a Region Startup File Associated with a JES Region .
  2. In the Results pane expand the Region node and select the Entry Point Name Mappings node. See 1 in the diagram below.
  3. Right-click and select Add. See 2 in the diagram below.

The Define Entry Point Mapping dialog is displayed.

    1. Enter the name of the entry point that you want to map in the Entry point name field
    2. Enter the name of the program that must be on the call stack for this mapping to take place, or '*' for any program, in the Program name field
    3. Enter the name of the subprogram or assembly that contains the entry point in the Subprogram name field
    4. If you want to map the entry point name on to an entry with a different name in the containing assembly, check Aliased entry point and enter the aliased name in the Aliased entry point name field
    5. Click on OK. See 3 in the diagram below.

The dialog is dismissed and the entry point mapping appears in the right-hand side of the Results pane. See 4 in the diagram below.
  4. Choose File > Save, or click the Save icon in the toolbar to save the file. See 5 in the diagram below.

You must cold-start the region for the changes to take effect.
