Edit CICS Resources

To locate this screen

  • To edit a region's resource file:
    1. In the Tree pane under SEE Administration, select Regions, and select the region to configure.
    2. In the Actions pane, select Edit CICS Resources.
  • To create or edit a resource file:
    1. In the Tree pane under SEE Administration, select Configuration Editors > CICS Resources.
    2. Choose from the File menu items or use the icons to open or create a resources file to edit.

Description

Use this screen to create and edit the CICS resource files to use with your regions.
Note: When accessing the option from Configuration Editors, you can open existing definitions, create new resource definitions, and save to either a file or to the cross-region database. You can also edit multiple definitions concurrently. Each definition appears as tab in the editor. When editing a region's resource file, these options are not available.
Add New
Available from the right-click menu. Lets you add a new item at the cursor.
Edit > Copy
Available from the right-click menu. Copies the currently selected item.
Edit > Paste
Available from the right-click menu. Pastes the copied item. This is available only when the cursor is in a valid location for the copied item.
File > New
Creates a new default resource definition.
File > Open
Opens an existing resource definition, either from file, or from the cross-region database.
File > Save
Saves the open resource definition.
File > Save To
Save an existing resource definition, either to a network drive, or to the cross-region database.
File > Close
Closes the open resource definition.
Remove
Available from the right-click menu. Removes the currently selected item.
Rename
Available from the right-click menu when a non-system group item is selected. Changes the name of the currently selected item.
